Before founding his studio, Dan built a successful career selling luxury custom goods to architects and interior designers, gaining firsthand insight into the design and construction process from a trade perspective. During that time, he identified a growing demand among discerning clients for a more transparent, streamlined, and approachable interior design experience. In response, he founded Dan Alan Design in 2016—a Houston-based interior design studio offering full-service residential interior design with a client-focused, detail-driven approach.

Dan’s prior background in executive-level administration with the City of Houston, combined with his MBA education and experience as a luxury real estate professional, allows him to approach each project with both creative vision and professional clarity. His work is rooted in thoughtful space planning, refined material selection, and a deep understanding of how clients live in their homes—whether designing a primary residence, second home, or investment property.
